The vision for Biosciences research at Durham is to focus on fundamental, impactful and cross-disciplinary science to address the major global challenges. Our environment promotes collaborative cross-disciplinary working via Durham's Research Institutes and Centres and co-location of some staff with Chemistry, and underpins economic and social impact in ecosystems management, biotechnology, agritechnology and health.
Reflecting and supporting this, Biosciences is organised into three research groupings: Biotechnology and Bioengineering; Molecules and Health; and Biodiversity and Environment.
