Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia

UPCH is a private non-profit university located in Lima, Peru. It was named in honor of Cayetano Heredia, one of the eminent Peruvian physicians of the 19th century. It is considered one of the top medical schools in Peru.

Language Requirements 

UPCH teaches in Spanish. There will be an interview that will determine your Spanish language ability.

Supporting Documents Required

If selected to go on an exchange by Durham, the Global Opportunities Team will nominate you to the partner. After your nomination is confirmed, you will need to apply to the partner to register with them. You will need the following supporting documents:

  • Letter of Motivation indicating the reasons for making your exchange.
  • Academic Transcript.
  • Passport-size photo with white background in jpg format.
  • Copy of passport.
  • Cover letter from Durham University indicating the courses you wish to take at UPCH.
  • International Health Insurance

Accommodation

Other Information

  • After receiving a letter of acceptance, students must purchase international medical insurance with coverage for the entire period of stay in Peru.
