Application deadlines:

If selected to go on an exchange by Durham, the Global Opportunities Team will nominate you to the partner. After your nomination is confirmed, you will need to apply to the partner to register with them. The application deadline for full year exchange is 30th April, after which the application portal will close.

Programme Information

Details about courses and modules available are updated on a yearly basis. Please find further information on the Course Offering webpage. All fields are open to exchange students as long as the student has adequate Chinese proficiency. Otherwise, students can only take courses offered in English. 

Academic Information

• Study load: Exchange students should take 15 credits per semester (30 credits total). 
• Language requirements: Some classes are taught in English, however applicants require command of Mandarin for non-English modules.
• Courses taught in English: please refer to Courses - Office of International Affairs NSYSU.
• Courses taught in Mandarin: please refer to the Course Selection System.

Supporting Documents Required

If selected to go on an exchange by Durham, you will need the following documents:

• Nomination Letter
• Enrolment Certificate
• Latest Academic Transcript 
• Copy of ID Photo
• Copy of Passport
• Medical Enduring Power of Attorney: An authorization document for NSYSU staff to act on behalf of the student in emergencies. The form can be downloaded on the application system. 

Accommodation

Students can apply for on-campus accommodation when applying for the exchange programme. Arrangements will be made on student preference and the capacity of rooms. On-campus housing is not guaranteed.

There are 3 types of rooms in student dorms: twin room, triple room and quad room. On-campus accommodation fees range from NTD 7500 to NTD 17000 per semester (approx. GBP 200 - 400).
