Programme Information

Full time study is 17-20 credits per semester. Exchange students studying Spanish modules and whose first language is not Spanish are recommended to take 12 credits per semester.

Academic Requirements

You can find a provisional list of courses using the course search (Bogotá) or academic programmes (Cali) webpage. Some English taught courses are available at Bogotá campus.

Your learning agreement is subject to approval by Javeriana and the availability of places for each course.

Language Requirements 

B1 Spanish is required for all students who's first language is not Spanish. B2 English is required for courses taught in English.

Supporting Documents Required

If selected to go on an exchange by Durham, you will need the following documents:

• Nomination letter issued by your home university. 
• Motivation letter (why you want to study at Javeriana).
• Academic Transcript.
• Certificate of Spanish proficiency at a minimum level of B1 (CEFR) if Spanish is not your first language.
• Certificate of English proficiency at a minimum level of B2 (CEFR) if you wish to study in English and English is not your first language.
• Copy of valid passport.

Accommodation

Universidad Javeriana does not have on-campus housing, but it does provide advice for finding accommodation in the city. The estimated monthly accommodation cost is between $200 to $500 USD.

Other Information

Students must have international travel/health insurance.
